ASHENEWS reports that the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr. Solomon Arase has advised corps members on promoting nation-building.
Arase stated this when he met with the National Youth Service Corps members.
A statement issued by Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations at the PSC said that Arase urged the corps members to develop the will to continuously improve themselves and make an impact wherever they find themselves.
According to him, “Nigeria is in need of men and women who are visionary stressing that he wants to see great men and women from the Corps Members serving in the Commission.
“The PSC Chairman tasked them to key into the Security Sector Reforms and help win the hearts and minds of the Members of the Public.
“He said that they should also get into the conversation of how best to improve Police/ youths relationship in Nigeria.
“Dr. Arase said the Corps Members should see themselves as a critical component in nation-building.
“He promised to look into the meager allowances being paid to them in the Commission and also see how some of them who are interested can be retained at the end of their service year in the Commission, “the statement said.
