ASHENEWS reports that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has secured the release of workers at the Shaanxi Construction Company a Chinese-owned Company Located on the Airport road- axis of Abuja.
This online platform further reports that the development followed a picketing action led by the President of Congress, Mr. Joe Ajaero.
The Congress disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle @NLCHeadquarters on Monday evening.
“The President of NLC, Joe Ajaero led a picketing action on Shaanxi Construction Company a Chinese-owned Company Located on the Airport road- axis of Abuja. The Picketing was necessitated by the anti-Labour activities and maltreatment of Workers by the Chinese Company.
“The Picketing action secured the release of detained Construction workers and also got all the demands of the Construction Union.
“In the company of Congress President, were Comrade Emma Ugboaja, the General Secretary of NLC, comrade Okoro, President of Construction Union and his General Secretary,” the tweet reads.
