Kebbi state governor, Abubakar Bagudu has approved the release of N3,097,013,964.47 as gratuity and death benefits due to the state, local government and local education authority workers disengaged in 2019.
The governor had on January 17 January, 2022 also directed the release of N381,778,623.68 as balance for state workers who retired from service in 2017 and 2018.
A statement by the Acting Head of Service, Safiyanu Bena on Wednesday, said that the two releases were from the N6 billion earlier approved by Bagudu, while reconciliation exercise is continuing in respect of 2020 and 2021.
