Kaura Namoda Emirate in Zamfara state now has 21 District Heads with the creation of two new added to the 19 existing districts.
Their appointment and turbaning followed the approval of Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad.
The Emir, Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha turbaned the new district heads on Saturday.
He also turbaned three other traditional title holders, explaining that the new districts will bring the people closer as well as ease the operations of the emirate.
The district heads include Abdulkadir Ahmad Asha II, district head of the Kaura Namoda (South East – Magizawa/Fagoji), and Samaila Moyi, District Head of Barayar Zaki in Kaura Namoda.
The traditional title holders are Nafi’u Dr Dalhatu Sule as Dallatun Kaura Namoda; Jamilu S/Makera, Sarkin Makeran Kauran Namoda and Mai Zawiyya Malam Idris as Sarkin Askin Kaura Namoda.
Senator Tijjani Yahaya, who represented the Governor urged them to be truthful, ensure justice, unity and development of their respective communities.
Among those who attended ceremony were Senator Sahabi Alhaji Ya’u; the Emir of Moriki, Bashar Ismail Ari; Emir of Zurmi, Bello Sulaiman and the Emir of Shinkafi, Muhammadu Makwashi Isah.
Others are representatives of Emirs of Anka and Birnin Magaji, Zamfara State Grand Khadi, Dahiru Muhammad, and other personalities.
