ASHENEWS reports that the Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has sacked the 44 local governments Hajj officials, and appointed interim officers to coordinate the ongoing operations of intending pilgrims for the 2023 pilgrimage.
This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor , Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, made available to newsmen on Sunday.
The governor also directed the newly appointed centre officers to report to the new Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Sunday 4th June, 2023 for an emergency meeting.
Recall that the governor had replaced Mohammad Abba Danbatta, with Laminu Rabiu Danbaffa as Director General of the Board.
