The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has relieved Professor Muhammad Sani Bello of his duties as Commissioner for Information and member of the State Executive Council.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa.

According to the statement, Ahmed Maiyaki, the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, has been appointed as the new Commissioner for Information.
The Governor thanked Professor Sani Bello for his service to the state, noting his contributions as the pioneer Commissioner for Education in the Uba Sani administration and later as Commissioner for Information. He wished him success in his future endeavours.
The change was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, who said the appointment takes immediate effect.
While no official reason was given for Bello’s removal, the statement noted his earlier role as the pioneer Commissioner for Education in the present administration before his redeployment to the Ministry of Information.
