The Jawon Minna, Mohammed Nma Kolo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Niger State, has said that at 82, former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida remains the man to beat.
Felicitating with General Babangida as he clocks 82, Nma Kolo said all the years of service by the military General were full of solid commitment to keeping Nigerians, particularly the youth focused and disciplined in the pursuit of edifying goals and living with values that define the Nigerian character.
“I particularly want to celebrate the 82 fruitfully eventful years of our father and leader, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida whose inspiring presence in our midst, his leadership, sacrifice, statesmanship, patriotism and unwavering commitment to the interests of the people of Northern Nigeria, and citizens of Nigeria as a whole, has few parallels in our nation.
“As you grow in age, health and wisdom Sir, we also recommit ourselves to drawing inspiration from your life and works, and we shall strive, in all we do, to live by the personal and social values and standards you live and set for yourself as citizen, subject, and leader,” Nma Kolo said.
Nma Kolo described Babangida as a passionate believer of the organic links between generations, a great statesman, a mentor, a guardian, a living history and an embodiment of all the exemplary qualities aspiring Nigerian leaders should strive to achieve.
