ASHENEWS reports that the Coalition of Shiroro Association’s (COSA) has condemned in strong terms, Tuesday’s attack on the Emir’s Palace in Minna, the Niger State Capital.
The group, in a statement issued by Lawal Mu’azu, its Chief Press Secretary said that the brazenness of the criminals to attack in the daytime was the highest form of indolence on the side of the government to protect properties and the lives of citizens in the state.
“The audacity of armed robbers to attack a traditional institution such as the Emir Palace of Minna is a pointer to the sad reality that nobody in the state is safe,” the group said.
COSA therefore, urged the state government to as a matter of national importance, use all the security apparatus available to the state in bringing the criminals to justice and ensuring the safety of the Minna Emirate as well as the entire state.
“COSA equally charges the State Government to provide adequate security personnel to man the troubled areas and flush out the criminals so that the safety of all citizens in Niger State can be guaranteed.
“While praying for the Governor to succeed in providing the security needed for Niger State to flourish, COSA enjoins the citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and prayerful for the prosperity of the state,” the statement said.
