Boko Haram Terrorists claims it shot down the Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that has been declared missing and later confirmed crashed by the Air Force authorities, the since Wednesday.
The spokesperson of the Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet in a statement early Friday, said that intelligence report indicated that the warplane which on March 31, got missing with two crew members, Flight Lieutenant John Abolarinwa and Flight Lieutenant Ebiakpo Chapele, on board might have crashed.
However, HumAngle tweeted that Boko Haram terrorists, in a video footage later on Friday, claimed it shot down the fighter jet mid-air.
The video also showed fighters carrying RPG and artillery equipment, as well as an alleged corpse of the pilot and the aircraft’s debris.
