As the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections draws closer, the party’s panel headed by Ambassador Usman Baraya on Sunday, screened Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello for the Niger North Senatorial District.
The screening exercise was carried out at the Fraser Suites, Abuja.
Speaking shortly after the screening, Sani Bello described the exercise as seamless.
He expressed delight over the smooth conduct of the exercise and commended the screening panel for a job well done, while explaining that going through the procedure is an experience.
“It is well organized, you can see the environment and I am happy about it,” he said.
Asked who will be his successor, the governor said “there are over four million citizens in the state and I love them all.”
The panel is expected to screen 1,200 aspirants for the House of Representatives and 395 for Senate.
