A non-governmental organisation under the auspices of Eden Group has expressed its readiness to distribute E-moringa organic fertiliser to farmers’ networks across the 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the country.
Dr. Ashimashiga Akoloaga, Chairman of Eden Group, gave the assurance at a news conference on Saturday in Nyanya, FCT, to demonstrate the effectiveness of E-moringa fertiliser.
Akoloaga said the adoption of organic fertiliser by farmers and the government in food cultivation would help to save the country from the UN prediction of acute hunger in 2025.
He stated that the gesture was to assist farmers for the 2024 farming season despite the shortage of food in all LGAs.

Akoloaga added that the exercise was also in line with Nigeria’s agricultural revolution through deliberate support to farmers with E-moringa organic fertiliser for food sufficiency.
The chairman criticized the unavailability of synthetic fertiliser and the hike in the price of the products.
He pointed out that synthetic or chemical fertiliser had affected the overall health of the populace and contributed to the rejection of Nigeria’s agricultural produce in international markets.
The chairman identified Moringa as the solid foundation for Nigeria’s health and agricultural integration project, noting that E-moringa fertiliser was a nutrient-dense supplier for successful agricultural and health product delivery.
“After several considerations of farmers’ plights, Eden Group, which has suffered even worse, has deliberately and manually produced a 100 percent organic fertiliser using Moringa Oleifera extract or waste to support the farmers.
“This will regenerate the dead nutrients in our farms caused by the bad effects of synthetic/chemical one which has also affected our overall health,” he said.
Akoloaga encouraged the government to explore and adopt organic fertiliser to ensure food sufficiency and security, thereby safeguarding the country from acute hunger in 2025 as predicted by the United Nations.
He further encouraged farmers to utilise E-moringa organic fertiliser, describing it as cheaper and healthier.
“We have the strength to manually produce and save the country from the acute hunger predicted by the UN,” he said.
