The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance) has added a new set of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to improve its services at airports.
At the launch, the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Seinde Fadeni, said the company plans to own all the equipment it needs by 2026.
Fadeni explained that the purchase process began last year, but delivery was delayed while the manufacturer completed production and shipment to Nigeria.
He added that the new machines will not only help the company and its customers but also make work easier for the staff. “We have many plans in place, and we are unveiling them one step at a time,” he said.
The Chief Operating Officer, Didier Stuellet, praised the Board for the investment, while the Head of GSE, Charles Karinga, highlighted that very few ground handling firms in the region can acquire such a large number of machines at once.
“Getting this number of high loaders at the same time is rare because of how costly they are. This is the first time we are seeing this happen,” Karinga said.
