Umeh, 2023 UTME’s best candidate gets N2.5m gift, scholarships

The overall best candidate of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Miss Precious Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh has received a cash gift of N2.5 million.

The N2.5 million cash gift came from the Chief Executive Officer and President of Erisco Foods Limited, Dr Eric Umeofia.

He also rewarded the school administrator, the four subject teachers, and two other best students of the school with various cash gifts.

Umeh has also been offered a scholarship by the Anambra State Government, her state of origin, to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

A student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Ogun state, also received a full scholarship from Anchor University, Lagos after naming her the University’s Young Ambassador for the 2022/2023 session.

Umeh scored a total of 360 in the UTME examination, with 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English.

“You have made us proud as a church, Deeper Life Bible Church. You have beamed what we represent – Excellence. Therefore, we as a University must celebrate you.

“Therefore on behalf of our Proprietor and Chancellor, Pastor (Dr.) W. F Kumuyi, on behalf of our BOT Chairman, Pastor Nkemkika Obina, on behalf of Anchor University Pro–Chancellor, Professor Steven Odiowe, on behalf of Anchor University Management and the entire university community.

“I hereby pronounce Miss Nkechinyere Kamsiyochukwu Umeh as Anchor University Young Ambassador for the year 2022/2023 session with a full scholarship award for her to study any course of her choice in Anchor University,” Prof. Bandele said.
