The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has redeployed all four deputy governors of the apex bank in a major internal restructuring aimed at strengthening coordination across key directorates.
The changes, which took effect from June 1, 2026, were reflected in an updated profile published on the bank’s official website on Monday.
Under the new arrangement, Philip Ikeazor was reassigned to oversee the Policy Directorate, a portfolio previously handled by Muhammad Abdullahi.

Abdullahi has now been moved to head the Corporate Services Directorate.
Similarly, Emem Usoro, who previously supervised Corporate Services, has been redeployed to the Operations Directorate, while Lamido Yuguda was transferred from Operations to the Financial System Stability Directorate.
According to the CBN, the redeployments are intended to strengthen collaboration across strategic departments and align leadership responsibilities with the institution’s evolving priorities.
The apex bank stated that the changes were designed “to make use of the experience of senior officials in different areas of responsibility and to support evolving institutional priorities.”
