Dangote Cement Plc has rewarded its top distributors and customers with gifts and cash valued at ₦15 billion, in appreciation of their loyalty, resilience, and outstanding performance across the country.

The celebration took place at the 2026 Dangote Cement Distributors’ Awards Night held at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the theme “Partner for Growth.” High-performing distributors went home with cash prizes, containers of cement, luxury SUVs, and CNG-powered trucks.

Speaking at the event, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, described distributors as the heartbeat of the company, noting that their dedication ensures Dangote products reach communities nationwide.

“Your tireless work in the field, your unwavering commitment to our products, and your direct engagement with customers are what turn our vision and strategies into tangible results,” Dangote said. “Today’s celebration, themed Partner for Growth, is proof that our growth journey for 2026 has already begun.”

Dangote used the occasion to reiterate the Group’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to transform Dangote Group into a $100 billion enterprise by the year 2030. He explained that the strategy focuses on industrial expansion, cross-border investments, and building Africa’s self-sufficiency in critical sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

He disclosed that Dangote Cement Group is targeting an expansion of its cement production capacity to about 90 million tonnes by 2030, stressing that the ambition goes beyond building factories.

“Our goal is to build Africa’s capacity to feed itself, power its economy, develop its people, and drive sustainable industrialisation,” he said.

Under Vision 2030, Dangote revealed plans to expand the petroleum refinery from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day, scale up fertiliser production to 12 million metric tonnes per annum, increase output at the polypropylene plant, and significantly grow cement capacity.

“Our cement production target of 90 million tonnes by 2030 means we will be producing about 50 per cent more than the entire cement output of Saudi Arabia,” he noted.

Dangote added that Vision 2030 is an integral part of the Group’s Africa First philosophy, driven by a belief that Africa’s future must be built by Africans who dare to dream big and push beyond perceived limits.

“Our ambition goes beyond building factories. It is about empowering people,” he said, highlighting the launch of a ₦1 trillion ($600 million) education fund by the Aliko Dangote Foundation in December 2025.

The education fund is designed to support more than 1.3 million vulnerable Nigerian students, with a strong focus on scholarships, STEM education, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and girls’ education.

Also speaking at the event, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dangote Cement Plc, Emmanuel Ikazoboh, attended his first Distributors’ Awards Night in that capacity and emphasised the critical role distributors play in the company’s success.

“Tonight, we are giving out about ₦9 billion in cash to our distributors,” Ikazoboh announced. “For some of you, it will be a double celebration, as you may receive two alerts in recognition of both your volume and growth performance.”

He said the rewards extend beyond cash, noting that distributors would also receive CNG-powered trucks, luxury vehicles, and other valuable items as a show of appreciation for their commitment and outstanding results.

Ikazoboh outlined the company’s plans to strengthen distributor support in the new year, stressing that supply chain efficiency and profitability remain key pillars of growth.

He added that Dangote Cement has made significant investments in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks, with a target to convert its entire fleet to CNG by the end of 2027.

“This initiative supports logistics efficiency, empowers our customers, and reinforces our commitment to corporate responsibility and global sustainability standards,” he said.

Ikazoboh also revealed plans for a new greenfield two-line cement plant with a production capacity of six million metric tonnes per annum in Itori, Ogun State, dedicated largely to exports. He further disclosed expansion plans for the company’s grinding plant in Côte d’Ivoire, underscoring Dangote Cement’s pan-African growth strategy.

Commending the distributors once again, he described them as central to the company’s nationwide visibility and success.

“Your perseverance, trust, and loyalty help us ensure the availability of our products across Nigeria. We are genuinely committed to seeing your businesses grow bigger, stronger, and more profitable,” Ikazoboh said.
