Borno state governor Prof. Babagana Zulum has commended the Nigerian Military for promoting 19 gallant officers of the Theatre of Operation Hadin Kai from the ranks of colonel to Brigadier General.
The governor made the commendation at the decoration event which took place at the officers mess at Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri on Tuesday.
Represented by the commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Barrister Kaka Lawan, Zulum said the state government is ready collaborate with the theatre of the operation.
The governor charged the newly decorated Brigadier Generals to remember that they were promoted because they had gallantly exhibited professionalism, made sacrifice and wonderfully and credibly performed in their examination and other assessments.
The new one star generals were decorated by the Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai; Commander, Multinational Joint Task, Major General Abdul Khalifa; Commander, Air Taskforce Component and Commander, Nigeria security and Civil Defense Corp alongside with the spouses of the new generals.
On behalf of the his colleagues, the commissioner donated N2 million; Theatre Commander donated N1 million and the Commander, Multi National Joint Task Force donated N500,000, respectively.
Additionally, the Commissioner donated to the wives of the 19 promoted officers.
One of the promoted Brigadier Generals is Ado Isa, who is the Deputy Director Amy Public Relation in charge of 7 Division Nigerian Army and Operation Hadin Kai.
