The Police Command in Ondo State has confirmed the killing of two travellers and the kidnapping of five others by gunmen on the Ifon/Owo Road in Ose Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesperson for the police in Ondo state, SP Fumilayo Odunlami-Omisanyan, said the command was yet to ascertain the exact number of passengers in the attacked vehicle.
She added that policemen had been deployed to comb the area to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued.

A man in the community, who did not want his name mentioned, said the vehicle was coming from the South-Eastern part of the country, with the passengers heading to the Owo axis on Friday night when the incident occurred.
He said that the driver of the attacked commercial vehicle and a female passenger were shot dead at the scene of the incident, while some passengers were whisked away.
It was learned that some passengers of the vehicle escaped with various degrees of injuries.
