Governors of the South Eastern zone, are currently meeting with religious, traditional and political leaders at the Government House in Enugu.
Present at the Friday meeting are governors Okezie Ikpazu (Abia state), Dave Umali (Ebonyi state), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, (Enugu state) while deputy Governors, Nkem Okeke and Placid Njoku, represented their bosses from Anambra and Imo State.
Others at the meeting include former deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Ex-Governor Okwesilieze Nwodo, President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nwodo, Senator Uche Ekwunife.
The meeting which started at about 1:00 pm, is expected to discuss how to restore peace in the region, zonal economic plan, among others pressing issues.
