A statement by the spokespeson of the command, SP Ahmed Mohamed Wakil on Saturday, quoted the Commissioner, Umar Mamman Sanda as saying that some irate youths in the area set six houses and seven shops ablaze, following an alleged blasphemous message posted on social media by a 40-year old staff of the Medical Department of Warji local government, Rhoda Jatau.
Some persons were reportedly injured as a result of the crisis.
The statement added that while a team of Mobile Police Force and Rapid Response Squad (RRS), have brought the situation under control, Sanda has also ordered for thorough investigation into the crisis.

The Command called on parents and guardians to maintain strict vigilance over the activities of their wards, particularly youths.
