The new Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Adaora Umeoji has met with businessman Aliko Dangote during a courtesy visit to Dangote Industries Limited in Lagos.

Among those who joined Umeoji on the visit were the immediate past GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank Plc, Ebenezer Onyeagwu; the executive director, Lawani Adamu, and other senior management staff of the bank.

They were joined in the meeting by the group managing director, Dangote Industries Limited, Olakunle Alake; the group executive director of commercial operations, Dangote Industries Limited, Fatima Dangote.

Umeoji assumed office as the first female group managing director and CEO of the bank on June 1 after the expiration of Onyeagwu’s tenure.

Before she was appointed GMD/CEO, Umeoji was deputy managing director of the bank since October 28, 2016, and has close to 30 years of cognate banking experience of which 26 have been with Zenith Bank.

Umeoji is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School where she attended the Advanced Management Program (AMP) and an alumnus of Columbia Business School with a Certificate in the Global Banking Program.
