The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) has expressed concern over the worsening shortage and rising price of cooking gas across the country. The association made this known in a joint statement signed by its President, Mr Edu Inyang, and Executive Secretary, Mr Bassey Effiong, on Sunday in Lagos. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Sunday received another batch of 329 stranded Nigerians from Agadez, Niger Republic. The Head of Operations, NEMA Kano Office, Dr Nura Abdullahi, disclosed this while receiving the returnees at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) says it has intensified surveillance and preparedness measures nationwide following the Ebola outbreak in parts of Africa.
