The Nigerian government has suspended its Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Ahmed Idris over alleged misappropriation of N80 billion. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, (NCAA) on Tuesday, advised pilots and airline operators to be cautious with hazardous weather during the current rainy season. The warning is contained in an Advisory Circular (AC) with reference no AC: NCAA-AEROMET – 33 initiated by the Directorate of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards (DAAS) addressed to all pilots and operators and signed by the Director General, Capt. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is reviewing the approval of the coronavirus vaccine by French pharmaceutical company Valneva for the EU market. The EMA announced in Amsterdam on Wednesday that the company had submitted a corresponding application. The governor disclosed this while briefing heads of security agencies at the state house, Ikeja. The Director-General, Cross River State Primary Healthcare Care Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has confirmed the death of seven children from cholera in the state. Ekpenyong, who confirmed the deaths in an interview on Wednesday in Calabar, said the agency recorded more than 600 suspected cases in the state between March and April. “Over 600 suspected cases were detected and we had a Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) conducted on them. Many of the IDPs were settled on a piece of land provided by the wife of the former president, Mrs Maryam Abacha some 15 kilometers away from Bauchi town.
