The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has sacked the Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr. In the interim, it also appointed ex-international, Augustine Eguavoen who is currently it’s Technical Director, as the Technical Adviser. Rohr has been Nigeria’s longest-serving manager on Super Eagles. A virtual meeting of the NFF Executive Committee on Sunday, decided that Eguavoen will work with Salisu Yusuf (Chief Coach); Paul Aigbogun (Assistant Coach); Joseph Yobo (Assistant Coach); Dr Terry Eguaoje (Assistant Coach) and Aloysius Agu (Goalkeeper Trainer). The medical director of the center, Dr Aminat Hassan disclosed this during a round table organized by International Human Rights Commission, to commemorate the Day in the State. Dr Aminat lamented that the referral center recorded 366 cases mostly on sexual assault, rape and domestic violence since it was established in 2019. Gunmen have imposed over N1 million as levies on Birnin Tsaba, Gabaken Mesa, Gabaken Dan-Maliki, Turawa, Askawa and Yanbuki communities in Zurmi, Kaura Namoda and Birnin-Magaji local government areas of Zamfara state. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced that it recorded a huge leap in trading surplus amounting to ₦141.96 billion in June 2021. This the company said is compared to a deficit of ₦37.46 billion recorded in May the same year. This is contained in the June 2021 figures of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR).
