Eight persons have reportedly died and many others injured in a stampede at Olembe Stadium during a match between Cameroon and Comoros in Yaounde, at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations on Monday. A viral video that surfaced online, showed football fans struggling to get access to the stadium. Also a Cameroon-based television, CRTV, reported “half a dozen deaths and dozens have been injured”.
