The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) says electricity has again topped its 2021 consumer related complaints chart just like in 2020. The Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Mr Babatunde Irukera in Abuja on Sunday that banking related complaints were second on the chart. Irukera explained that aviation and telecommunication related complaints followed the chart. The Gambia’s Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRCC), which investigated alleged crimes committed during President Yahya Jammeh’s 22 years in power, has recommended that he be prosecuted before an international tribunal. The recommendation is contained in a report released on Friday, December 24, 2021, in Banjul. The Debt Management Office (DMO) has said that the N250 billion Sovereign Sukuk offer attracted unprecedented subscription of over N865 billion. Director-General of the DMO, Patience Oniha made this known in a statement on Saturday. Oniha said that the massive response was an indication that the idea of growing the domestic investors’ base and promoting financial inclusion through Sovereign Sukuk was achieved.
