Zamfara state governor, Bello Muhammad has advised citizens of the state to acquire guns to protect themselves against bandit terrorists. A special government announcement issued by the state commissioner for information, Ibrahim Dosara on Sunday, also directed the state commissioner of police to issue license to willing and qualified individuals. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by NDLEA’s Director, Media and Advocacy, Mr Femi Babafemi. The African Development Bank Group (AfDB), says it is implementing infrastructure projects worth 11.5 billion dollars in West Africa. Ms Marie-Laure Akin-Olugbade, the Director-General, West Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office of the Bank, said this in an interview on Sunday. Akin-Olugbade said that 39 per cent of the investment which represented $4.5 billion was for transport infrastructure, while 19 per cent representing $2.1 billion was for investments in energy infrastructure. The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 774 suspects and seized 3,874.3kgs of various narcotics and psychotropic substances in Nasarawa, Benue and Plateau in the first half of 2022.
