A joint operation by the troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) of Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon, has eliminated scores of ISWAP terrorists in Malam Fatori, Damasak and Wulgo in the Lake Chad axis. The contingent of the joint troops confronted the terrorists at different locations in the military offensives. Apart from the ground troops that were on the offensives, air components also deployed attack aircraft in the elimination of the terrorists, destruction of their hideouts and guntrucks. The girls were abducted on April 14, 2014 at Chibok community in northeast Nigeria, in a depressing incident that elicited spontaneous condemnation by the international community. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), under the Department of Defense, has delivered the certification, notifying Congress of the $1 billion deal.
