The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday released guidelines for registration and supervision of Credit Guarantee Companies (CGCs) in Nigeria. The guidelines are contained in a circular by Ibrahim Tukur, CBN’s Director, Financial Policy and Regulation Department, addressed to Commercial  Banks, Other Financial Institutions  and Stakeholders in the Financial Services Industry. Officials in Guinea have confirmed the first case of the Marburg virus disease, the first case of the deadly illness in West Africa, the World Health Organisation, WHO, said Monday. “The potential for the Marburg virus to spread far and wide means we need to stop it in its tracks,” said Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa. Food poisoning has killed 24 people in a single household in Danzanke village of Bargaja ward, Isa local government area of Sokoto state.
