A 30-year old man, Ebube Oba was on Sunday arrested by the police over alleged murder of his neighbour, Mrs Uzomaka Ekpe. Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has approved the recruitment of additional 500 corps into the State Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN) codenamed Amotekun. The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a suspected drug kingpin at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), Lagos for allegedly behind attempts to export 40 parcels of Methamphetamine to London. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), says it received safety information from the European Rapid Alert System for dangerous non-food products (RAPEX) that a cosmetic product, Placentyne Hair Lotion, has been banned. The information is contained in a public alert with No. 0033/2022, signed by the Director-General of the agency and made available to newsmen on Saturday. The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos, has issued a 30-day ultimatum to the Lagos State government to implement the judgment by the Supreme Court approving the use of hijab in Lagos schools.
