The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N22 billion for the construction of a conference hostel facility for the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board. The facility is to be located opposite the National Content building in Yenegoa, capital of Bayelsa. The District Head of Kujama, Chikun local government Area of Kaduna state, Mr Stephen Ibrahim has decried the absence of secondary schools in 15 communities in the domain. Ibrahim disclosed this during an interactive session with traditional and community leaders on the removal of barriers to girls’ education on Wednesday in Kaduna. A total number of 197 females were among the 444 recruit Constables of the Nigeria Police Force that passed-out on Wednesday at the Police Training School, Nekede near Owerri. The recruits comprise 271 from Imo and 173 from Abia. Out of the 444 recruits, 247 are males while 197 are females. The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed the death of four inmates and injury of 16 others during gunmen attack on the Kuje Custodial Centre at which 879 inmates escaped Tuesday night.
