The Peter Obi Movement (POM) has appointed the former chairman of Kaduna state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamu Yusuf as ita National Secretary. Its National Coordinator, Rev. Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau has received donation of medical equipment from an US-based charity foundation. The Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr Bello Muhammad Kwatarkwashi disclosed this to journalists while receiving containers of the equipments in Gusau on Thursday. According to Dr Kwatarkwashi, the equipment was donated by the Project CURE Foundation of the United States through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), supported by the Federal Ministry of Finance. The Commissioner for Health in Plateau, Dr Ndem Lar on Friday, said that 54.7 per cent of childbirths in the state were at home as indicated by the 2018 National Demographic Health Survey (NDHS). Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that both Iran and Saudi Arabia have voiced readiness to begin their talks on a political level to normalise ties, Iran Front Page (IFP) reported on Friday.
