The acting FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Dauda Biu, has directed the 37 Sector Commanders across the nation to impound any motorcycle without appropriate registration. Four people, allegedly transporting diesel illegally, lost their lives in an auto crash on Monday in Ughelli South local government area of Delta. A witness told newsmen that the accident happened early on Monday morning at the popular Ekuigbo Junction on the East/West Road. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it recorded 10.4 million fresh registration in the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) before it suspension on July 31. INEC said this in its CVR Update for Quarter 4, week 16, released on Monday, August 1 in Abuja. The commission also said that during the period, 12.2 million registrants completed their registrations, of which 3.4 million registered online, while 8.8 million registered through physical registration. The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) says it is working to install Category II Instrument Landing systems (CAT II ILS) in Owerri and Jalingo airports that have no ILS presently. The Debt Management Office (DMO) has announced two additional Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) savings bonds for offer for the month of August, at N1,000 per unit.
