The stock market on Monday started the week on a negative note, as market capitalisation shed N76 billion or 0.32 per cent to close at N23.866 trillion compared with N23.942 trillion posted at the previous session. The Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) on Monday said it generated N725 billion for the Federal Government, from independent revenue, in the first half of the year. The Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Chief Victor Muruako, said this at the opening of a three-day technical assistance to sub-nationals/workshop on sustaining the gains of fiscal transparency and accountability in states in Lagos. Overland Airline resumed flight services to Dutse on Monday after it had suspended same for seven years. The suspension came as a result of business misunderstanding between the airline and the state government, which has now been resolved. Managing Director of the airline, Mr Edward Boyo, said the airline would operate thrice weekly into the Dutse International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The House of Representatives Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management on Monday grilled the Director-General, Debt Management Office (DMO), Ms Patience Oniha, over rise in domestic debts totaling N3.3 trillion in 2023. Bebbi state governor, Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of N100 million to the Kebbi State Fishermen Cooperative Union (KSFCU). This is contained in a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Animal Health, Husbandry and Fisheries, Aminu Garba-Dandiga in Birnin Kebbi on Monday. The Kaduna state government, said on Monday that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aerial patrols have targeted bandits’ locations and several bandits were neutralized, camps destroyed and some of their hostages escaped.
