The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that 17 persons were killed while four others were injured in an auto crash on Kwali-Abaji Road, before Awawa in the FCT. The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) said it received a shortfall of N68 billion in its revenue collection for 2021 used for its operations in the 2022 fiscal year. The Executive Secretary of the fund, Mr Sonny Echono, disclosed this at a One-Day Meeting of the Heads of Beneficial Institutions in public tertiary institutions with the TETFund. Echono said that the revenue collection of the fund had dropped from N257 billion to N189 billion, adding that the drop in revenue amounted to N68 billion. The University of Jos has approved the elevation of 158 lecturers to the ranks of professors and associate professors. A statement by Mr Abdullahi Abdullahi, Deputy Registrar, Information and Publications, disclosed this on Tuesday in Jos. A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, dismissed a suit filed against Sen. Stella Oduah, seeking an order invalidating her nomination as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s senatorial candidate in Anambra. The Federal Government has begun construction of 57.5 kilometer township roads in Jega and Aliero local government areas of Kebbi. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately resume the continuous voters’ registration (CVR) until 90 days before the 2023 general elections. Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a judgment, also directed INEC to ensure that eligible Nigerians are not deprived the opportunity to have the voter’s card for the forthcoming poll.
