Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday signed the 2021 Appropriation Bill of N1.164 trillion into law. Speaking during the signing at Lagos House, Marina, Sanwo-Olu said that the budget has a capital to recurrent ratio of 60:40. He said that the budget comprised of N702,935,416,976 capital expenditure and N460,586,793,741 recurrent expenditure. Hearing in the ongoing alleged certificate forgery suit against Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo was stalled at the Federal High Court Abuja on Thursday, due to the ill health of the trial judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed. The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has granted approval for the immediate payment of N3 billion gratuity arrears to all verified retirees in the state and Local Governments. The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) says 161 successful companies have been shortlisted to advance to the next and final stage of the bid round process for 57 marginal oilfields in the country. The spokesperson of DPR, Mr Paul Osu said on Thursday in Lagos that the firms were selected from the over 600 companies which applied for pre-qualification. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says Nigerian households will most likely have improved access to credit beginning from the first quarter of 2021.
