The recognition was one of the award categories organised by the Union to commemorate the world Press Freedom Day in Abuja on Saturday.

According to Israeli reports, this means that offices in Israel could be closed, broadcasting equipment confiscated, the station removed from cable and satellite television channels and its website blocked.

According to him, the initiative aims to extend the programme’s benefit to professional groups, including members of the media.
“The investigation was done in the open and having concluded our work we forwarded our recommendations to the minister since the board of the hospital is yet to be constituted.
“As the world celebrates World Press Freedom Day on May 3, we wish to reaffirm our commitment to upholding the fundamental principles of free speech, independent journalism, and the protection of press freedoms worldwide knowing that a free and independent media is the oxygen of democracy.
