The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained the vice presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and immediate-past governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa. The anti-graft agency is reported to have detained Okowa in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, for allegedly diverting part of N1.3 trillion and 13 per cent derivation fund allocated to the state between 2015 and 2023.
