The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, says that the death toll for the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria had jumped to 1,083. Announcing this on its official twitter handle, @NCDCgov Monday night, the Centre also said that 132 new infections were confirmed. The United States has imposed visa restrictions on some Nigerians involved in the run up to the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states.
