Nigeria has vaccinated 8,000 persons so far in 35 states and the FCT, the Presidential Task Force (PTF), on COVID-19, said on Monday in Abuja. The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib, made the disclosure at the PTF briefing, on Monday in Abuja. The governors of the 36 states in Nigeria, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) will meet on Wednesday to discuss issues related to petrol subsidy and COVID-19 vaccines. The Nigerian Army says the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have eliminated over 41 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in an encounter at Gulwa and Musuri in Gamboru Ngala local government area of Borno. Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, has denied that the minor skirmish reported at Sani Dingyadi Secondary School is linked to abduction attempt. The governor stated this when he promptly visited the scene with his Deputy, Manir Dan’Iya and some Commissioners Sunday evening.
