The Kaduna State Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme, says it has commenced free chest x-ray for clinical Tuberculosis diagnosis in children. The State Program Manager, Dr Abubakar Sadiq made the disclosure in an interview in Kaduna on Wednesday, saying that the free x-ray is part of the strategy to improve “Tuberculosis indices in the state since the children cannot produce spectrum.” According to him, children are more predisposed and have low immunity. The federal and Yobe state governments on Wednesday signed an N8.4 billion Damaturu Water Supply projects. Signing on behalf of the federal government, the Assistant Director Urban Water Supply, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Habu Hassan said that the project would be completed within 24 months. On February 10, the Federal Executive Council approved N8.4 billion for the construction of a dam for the projects. ASHENEWS gathered that the informants were arrested in Shiroro and Munya local government areas of Niger state. A security source said that the informants were arrested while on their way to give information about the movement of troops deployed to the areas to bandits.
