The federal government has inaugurated a home-grown ‘Plagiarism Detection Software Code’ called EagleScan to enhance the integrity of higher institutions. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the inauguration of the software in Abuja on Tuesday said that plagiarism was a form of corruption. The Federal government on Tuesday called for the management and control of aflatoxin in Nigeria’s crop value chains. Dr Oyeleke Razak, Head of Nutrition, Crop Production and Food Safety, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, stated this at a workshop in Abuja with the theme:  ”Scaling Solutions to Control Aflatoxin in Nigeria”. Kogi government on Tuesday announced that it had secured a $100 million loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance some Special Agro- Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) projects in the state. The Senate on Tuesday sought the establishment of a permanent military and police command base in the area adjoining Shiroro and Rafi local government areas of Niger state, to tackle escalating insecurity in the state.
