The Federal government on Tuesday called for the management and control of aflatoxin in Nigeria’s crop value chains. Dr Oyeleke Razak, Head of Nutrition, Crop Production and Food Safety, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, stated this at a workshop in Abuja with the theme:  ”Scaling Solutions to Control Aflatoxin in Nigeria”. Kogi government on Tuesday announced that it had secured a $100 million loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance some Special Agro- Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) projects in the state. The Senate on Tuesday sought the establishment of a permanent military and police command base in the area adjoining Shiroro and Rafi local government areas of Niger state, to tackle escalating insecurity in the state. The resolution was sequel to a Point of Order raised by Sen. Sani Musa at plenary. The spokesperson of the Command, ASP Abubakar Sanusi confirmed that one person died and the station and two vehicles were set on fire. Dr Chinagozi Adindu, the Executive Secretary, Abia State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, ASPHDA, has warned against leaving malaria untreated because it could lead to mental health complications. Kano State Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Konexa, a foreign investor, for the generation, storage, and distribution of electricity. The MoU will see Konexa investing 100 million dollars to, among other things, provide cutting-edge technology in deploying renewable energy.
