President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, met with the new Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, at the State House, Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, arraigned a director of the defunct Abiodun Hassan before Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the FCT High Court, Apo, for alleged misappropriation of over N10.2 billion. Hassan was arraigned alongside his company, Bestworth Insurance Brokers Limited, on alleged misappropriation of fund. The defendants were arraigned on a five-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and cheating. Hassan is the first defendant in the suit marked: FCT/HC/CR/021/2021, while the company, Bestworth Insurance Brokers Limited is the second defendant. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova has tasked the health ministry and the health protection watchdog with studying Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination efficacy for HIV-positive people. Chief Olisa Metu, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says his recent experience in detention has taught him a ‘great lesson’. Metuh made the disclosure when some PDP faithful received him at the party secretariat in Awka on Wednesday.
