The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted over 500kilograms of illicit drugs, substances and arrested suspected traffickers in eight states. The spokesperson of the Agency, Mr Femi Babafemi said this in a statement made available to ASHENEWS on Sunday. The NCDC made this known via its verified website on Sunday morning, adding that Nigeria recorded 27 more Coronavirus (COVID-19) related deaths and 964 new infections from 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The 964 fresh cases reported on Saturday indicated an increase from the 444 cases posted on Friday. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 22-year-old National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) member, Arnold Maniru for importing four kilograms (kg) of drugged candies from the UK. Chaos erupted in the streets of the Russian city of Tver on Saturday night after fans from competing football teams started a massive brawl which left at least seven injured. More than 60 people were part of the fighting which broke out after Zenit St Petersburg’s reserve team tied with FC Tver, the state news agency TASS reported.
