Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai says the state expects an internally generated revenue of N67.26 billion and N24.9 billion Value Added Tax (VAT) which will be used to partly finance the state’s 2022 budget of N233 billion. Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has sent a N33.8 billion 2021 supplementary budget to the House of Assembly for approval. His request was read at plenary in Kano on Tuesday, by the Speaker, Hamisu Chidari. According to the governor’s request, N3.22 billion will be for personnel cost, while N9.2 billion will be spent on overhead costs, while the sum of N21.5 billion will be for capital expenditure. Katsina state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Malaysia-based firm, Bionas, under which $199 million would be spent to battle desertification in the state.
