Mr Dare Akau, then Chairman, Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, wanted stakeholders at an education summit to state the professions they’d love for their children. Some said engineering; others said law, ICT, aeronautic piloting, journalism, army, among others. A Nigerian Senator Ali Ndume has called on president Muhammadu Buhari, to urgently sign the Unexplained Wealth Order, as a way to strengthen the fight against corruption. Ndume made the call on Saturday, in Ibadan while delivering the 2021 Distinguish Leadership Lecture Series, organised by the University of Ibadan. The Delta State Task Force on Environment says it has proposed N300 million for its activities in the 2022 fiscal year. Agency Chair Silvester Oromoni disclosed this in Asaba when he led other officials of the agency to defend the 2022 budget before the State House of Assembly Committee on Environment, Oil and Gas. Oromoni said that N165 million out of the fund would be for recurrent expenditure while N135 million is for capital expenditure. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, says that Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari’s budget on local and foreign travels, meals and refreshments, sitting allowance, welfare package and office building is bigger than what has been allocated to 14 teaching hospitals in the country.
