The Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) has announced Solacebase and 10 other organisations as the first set of participants in its Nigeria Media Innovation Program (NAMIP). A statement from the organization said the successful participants were selected from over 200 applications after careful consideration by an Advisory Committee comprising leading professionals in journalism, business, academia and innovative enterprise. Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has paid a sympathy visit to the people affected by flood disaster in Kontagora local government and donated 100 fabrics, 500 bags of grains comprising rice, maize and millet as relief materials. Hundreds of US public officials, police officers and soldiers are or have been involved with the far-right Oath Keepers militia, according to a report from an anti-extremism organisation. The Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism compared the names from a leak of Oath Keepers membership rolls with public records and social media.
