The chairman of the Asi-Dosunmu Royal Family of Lagos, Raufu Ishola-Lemomu, known as Bobo-Raufu, is dead.
A cousin of the former Minister of Communications, retired Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju, Lemomu, aged 78 died at his Apongbon residence on the Lagos Island on Friday.
He will be buried today, Saturday December 30, at the Okesuna Cemetery in Lagos Island at 2:30pm.
He had been the repository of knowledge in and around the royalty of Asi-Dosunmu family history of Lagos.
“I lost my first cousin, Alhaji Raufu Bobo-Lemomu. He died yesterday (Friday) and will be buried at Okesuna Cemetery (Lagos Island) today at 2.30 pm.
“He was the Chairman of Asi-Dosunmu Royal family. He was from Sufianu Akogun Dosunmu line and he worked hard to sustain the name,” Olanrewaju said.
Announcing his death Saturday morning, Olanrewaju described his death as one that is so painful especially, considering his position and role in the Dosunmu royal family of Lagos.
The deceased was survived by wife and children.
