The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has inaugurated officials of the North-East geopolitical zone, who are residence of Gwarimpa Ward in Abuja.
Comrade Peter Ayuba Tannas, was sworn in as the Chairman of the forum, Sadiq Mohammed as the vice, Joseph Yusuf as the general Secretary, Elizabeth John as women leader, Usaku Nafaramada as treasurer and Buhari Adamu as youth leader.
Others are Mohammed Sani as Auditor, Mariya Audu as Patron, Silas Ndit as Financial Secretary, Bwekah Maishera as organising secretary, Charity Yakubu as PRO, Yakubu Musa as welfare officer and Bawa Umar as Ex Officio.
A Barrister, Mohammad Ahmad, who administered the oath of office on the new executives in Abuja, called on them to respect their pledges as they resume their respective duties for the development of democracy in the country.
Hon. Dogo Williams, the Chairman, coalition of all zones in Nigeria, speaking during the inauguration, said the executives were saddled with the responsibility of uniting the party for the development of democracy.
According to him, the inauguration was part of the fulfilment of the responsibility which are charged upon by the national body of the party for good governance.
He maintained that the party still commands huge supporters in the country and was battle ready to clinch power at the Presidential and local government level in the coming general elections in the country.
“In order to have effective and successful party, we must have competent field workers who can carry out the exercise effectively and any work assigned to them.
“They should be resolute and remain law abiding for peaceful coexistence; APC is still in order in AMAC and is determined to move the country forward,” he said.
Williams congratulated the officials for their emergence and called on the party supporters to continue to be law abiding and work with unity of purpose, in order to achieve the desired targets of the party.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated officials, Comrade Peter Ayuba Tannas, promised to use his new office for effective leadership and for the development of the party in AMAC.
