ASHENEWS reports that the United Kingdom has expressed its readiness to strengthen the operational capacity of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
The British Defence Advisor for Nigeria, Brigadier General Matt Munro, stated this on Monday during a visit to the Headquarters of the MNJTF in N’Djamena, Chad.
Munro, while conveying the UK’s commitment to aiding the MNJTF in achieving its mandate stressed that the task force plays a crucial role in ensuring regional security and stability.
Munro noted that the UK’s agreement is expected to significantly boost the operational skill of the MNJTF.
He expressed optimism that the UK’s backing will facilitate pivotal advancements for the MNJTF, ranging from meticulous planning to proficient execution of operations.
On his part, the Force Commander Major General Gold Chibuisi, commended the British government for its support.
Chibuisi, who was represented by the Deputy Force Commander Brigadier General Assoulai Blama, particularly lauded the British government for the support it has been receiving through the Cell for Coordination and Liaison to MNJTF, a key conduit for the strategic partnership.
